fair enough?

Hi guys,

im sorry for not blogging in a while. A lot has happened. I moved in with my bf a few weeks ago, so it was a big move from home.

About the pits...i have not been able to continue using the big block of kojic soap which im gonna start again today. I'm just been maintaining the "not sweating" with perspirex n exfoliating with the body shop gloves.

From where i started months ago, i truly believe that ive had some progress with the darkening "down there" and my pits. Here are the latest pics of my armpits. I can wear sleeveless now, i mean its not as dark as it used to be. So i shall continue my perspirex, exfoliation and since today, my kojic soap. More pics in January? :)

the last straw

hi guys,

so this is an update on what happened with the extreme brite gel...it didnt work. so im gonna stop using it. i mean look at my right armpit (below) it looks the same. nothing happened.

so im gonna try 2 last products then im just gonna focus on stopping my sweating n exfoliating. the 2 products is Cyleina's kojic soap and black pearl soap. Today is my first day of using the black pearl soap. I started this one first becoz i heard it will give u faster results. so i will try it for the whole month (assuming this little 45g soap will last me that long) then im gonna use the kojic soap for my entire body - especially on my butt to remove the stretch marks :S

I bought the 2 soaps from an online shop and they gave me a free gift called "luvia milky way soap" no idea what that soap is all about - cant event find it online so sounds weird and ill def ask them about it.

so ladies (and gents) this will be OFFICIALLY the 2 last products that i'll try. another update in 3 weeks. wish me luck.

p.s: i tried the home made bleach...bad idea...it was messy and didnt do a thing.

Ouch!

so i ran out of waxing strips today and decided to "epilate" a few strands of armpit fur and it hurt me!!! OMG! it hurts! so now i have to leave my pits alone so the redness would fade. the things i do to my poor pits! sigh...

anyway, yesterday i was surfin online for home-made chemical peels & bleach. It seems if u mix 2 tbspns of tomato juice & 2 tbspns of lemon juice and leave it on for 15 - 20 mins then rinse, u will be see the brightening effect instantly. I'm really tempted to try this but i know u guys would like to see the end result of the Extreme Brite Gel on my underarms. So im gonna do the extreme brite gel for another 2 weeks n see how it goes, then i'll stop n try the home-made bleach.

to whiter underarms & beyond!

A great find!

Hey everyone,

i'm still in the process of this extreme brite gel..its been 2 weeks and there may be a 5% difference. so i'll just use it for another 2 weeks and show u guys the pics!

also, ive been using divine derriere on my inner thighs and "ahem" so its says u'll see darkening then u'll need to exfoliate to see the new surface. so far i have not had the time to exfoliate cos im busy nursing my major swelled up face from a tooth surgery (oh the pain!)

anyhoo, i found this article on Oprah's website that i think u should read. its about how long we shud use a beauty product to see a difference. very informational:

http://www.oprah.com/style/How-Long-Does-It-Take-for-Skin-Products-to-Work-Ask-Val

so, remember: if you see no difference in three or four weeks, it's probably not going to work.

p.s: for skin bleaching it is said to take as long as 6 months for the area to be lightened to your satisfaction.

so remm..whitening n bleaching are 2 different things..dont confuse them and each product takes its own time to work, also depending on ur skin condition and other factors.

it is very hard this entire process. sigh...

FYI

The next product im going to try is the Xtreme Brite Gel, so do look for an update end of September! i heard it has worked for some, so lets hope it'll work for me :S

The List

Hi ladies (possibly guys too!),

I know i have not posted in a while. With so many failed attempts, i thought id just try all sorts of stuff till i get the whitening down then post a success story! Unfortunately, i still have dark underarms and i m still doing stuff to my pits to lighten it...hopefully i will get a solution by the end of the year!

I realized that most people who suffer from dark underarms also have other skin problems. For me, i suffer from these:

  1. Dark underarms
  2. Dark vaginal area /inner thighs (basically the entire area below)
  3. Dark elbows & knees
  4. Enlarged pores on my face
  5. Blackheads
  6. Slight discoloration at the corners of my mouth
  7. Breakouts/PMS
  8. Hair fall
  9. Dry skin
  10. Ingrown hair (on face, armpits, legs & the area below)

I'm still working on the problems and managed to help a few issues like for dark vaginal area / inner thighs - to lighten it i've found that waxing helps remove the dark skin cells. This process is ongoing and one should always wax any hairy area because of the ingrown hair & dead skin buildup. If you have the luxury, you may want to opt of Permanent Hair Removal. Now that would be a quick but painful solution.

DONT U JUST HATE HAIR?!

for breakouts, i use Tea Tree Oil to dry the pimples and it also helps with the scars. I truly believe that my hormones are the underlying cause for most of my problems. I might start on birth control pills which ive heard helps a lot with PMS and just regulating hormones. So we'll see.

Once again, i'll continue trying all sorts till i find a solution, so will let update u guys as soon as i see any difference.

Next product: Xtreme Brite Brightening Gel (apparently u get to see a difference in 3 weeks)

Pictures & Progress

Left Underarm

- as u can see it is lighter than the right one. maybe cos i sweat lesser in this underarm?

Right Underarm

- this underarm is darker. quite obvious isnt it?

The Conclusion

So after many years. i shall conclude my entire lightening experience. this is what i have come up with:

If u suffer from dark underarms:

Step 1: Visit a dermatologist. The doctor may/may not provide you with a solution, but can at least tell you the cause of it.

Step 2: Do not shave! Waxing is the best, as it removes hair from the roots and it pulls away dead skin cells. (Permanent hair removal is also a great option)

Step 3: If sweating is the cause of your dark underarms (like my case) then try to find an anti-perspirant like Perspirex or Maxim (which really help with excessive sweating)

Step 4: Scrubbing underarms, wearing sleeveless clothes at home or as much as possible (so that underarms can breathe and wont always be moist), using an anti fungal powder (during the day), applying a peel (like the one from Juice Beauty) once a month and rubbing coconut oil after every peeling session (at night) helps immensely.

Right now my underarms are 50% better just by following these steps. I shall post pics soon as i would like to continue this routine till i have clear results :)

dark clouds may pass, but this dark prob just wont!

So i've stopped using the Dermatologist's prescribed cream. she did say it will whiten my armpits "a little". and it did. so guess it wont do more than this:

right left

So as u can see...not much has changed. so today i thought id buy Juice Beauty's peel with extra strength but only to find out that the outlet has moved to another mall (bummer!!!) anyhoo i decided to buy a handbag, a nail filer (to help with the disappointment) and also The Body Shop's Vitamin C powder, which i was told to use for 10 days only. I think ppl usually use this for the face but i have bigger issues on my pits. So im gonna use it every night for 10 days. Vitamin C is said to help with lightening. SO i guess another update in 10 days? wish me luck!

Also, i've been using this anti fungal powder as a substitute for a deodorant and i must tell u that it really helps eliminate odor! im so impressed and it costs so little too...

2 weeks for a miracle!

i think im noticing a difference with just a few days of applying the cream the doctor gave...i dunno whats in that cream but it seems to have lighten my underarms a bit...there's like 80% more clearing to go...but i wonder how long this "lightening" process will take...is this it? or can the cream actually lighten my underarms entirely?

Shall update u guys in approx less than 2 weeks !

praying for a miracle!!

Life's a b!tch

So i went to the dr yesterday. the Dr i intended to see wasnt around, so i had to settle for the locum. (how disappointing). anyhoo....told her my story, she did a scrape test on my armpits to see if its fungal and found out that she didnt see any fungal under her microscope. So she told me she cant advise me on any other procedures like chemical peels etc cos the actual dermatologist wasnt around (even more disappointing) so she prescribed me some cream to apply on my underarms nightly. so i did yesterday night and i this morning i woke up scaly dry skin. the dr did tell me that it will help lighten my skin a little bit. sigh.

so for now, im gonna use the cream nightly and perspirex (one a week, at night - to stop the sweating) and during the day i'll just use an anti fungal talcum powder. what else can i do?

i have to have this pigmentation cured by the end of this month. seriously. i am going to a freakin beach!!

:/ life sux doesnt it?

the Longing

As i've said earlier...the healing process is taking so long...i still regret putting that deodorant on my pits :S cos its still burnt/dark. im thinking of going for IPL...see if that helps...im so annoyed :( im actually taking Echinacea to build up my immune system to fight the fungal in my body. Lets hope it goes away in the next couple of months....

slow but for sure?

hey guys,

its really depressing to know that i screwed up my pits! sh!t!

i'm only using the anti fungal cream & anti fungal powder (so that i dont sweat) during the day. At night, i just use the cream and i make sure i cleanse my underarms using "head & shoulders" anti dandruff shampoo (u can use "selsun blue" too if u'd like).

everytime after i shower, i rub my underarms with my towel n i can see that my skin still "sheds" or whatever is on it, i know this because i see dirt stains on my towel. it sounds gross but hey it means progress ! like i said before, its gonna take a while to see a drastic difference.

lesson learnt: do not use too many products at one time....we all want quick results! but its take time for everything.

I screwed up!

My armpits are on fire!! After such good progress i decided to use the roll on to stop sweating yest :( I literally burnt my skin. Now it's dark and my skin is saggy! I thought it was getting lighter. I think the anti fungal cream was working. Fungal seems to be the root cause to all my problems, maybe my sinusitis too! Allergic fungal sinusitis to be exact! Now I have to start all over again! This recovery is gonna take a while :(

El Fungi....& no, its not a dish!

SO i went to the dr today about my ringworm a.k.a fungal infection. Before going in, i was excited to see the doctor and especially at the thought of taking fungal pills (which i was sure to help with my discolorations!) but then when i asked him about the pills, he warned me that taking those "anti fungal pills" may cause side effects like if u're allergic to it, u might end up with rashes and worse, liver problems. Being smart, and not wanting to jump from the frying pan into the fire, i decided to take his solution to my problem: a fungal cream called OTENOL (ingredient: Terbinafine Hydrochloride). I'm supposed to used it twice/day until the ringworm disappears and then continue applying the cream for another two weeks. He explained why.

Fungal infections are not like viruses or throat infections, when u have fungal infections, its cells divide very slowly and and it grows deep into ur skin (this explains why nothing works on my underarms!) therefore it is necessary to use the cream/any other fungal medication on a long term basis.

Since my underarms have been dark for soooooo longggg....i can only imagine how much time it will take before i see a drastic change. I will be applying the anti-fungal cream daily on my underarms and my affected ringworm areas! when i do see a difference i will let ya'll know.

If u r wondering whether u have fungal on ur underarms, it is best to ask ur family members if any of then have/had fungal infections in the past. After all, fungal infections are hereditary.

If what i have is a fungal infection on my armpits, i'll be really pissed at the fact that even the "best dermatologist" couldnt diagnose this. But we shall see.

Could it be??

I feel............frustrated. angry. depressed. hopeless. wishing that there was some sort of life's manual to leading a problem free, healthy lifestyle, especially taking care of all our organs that lead to our senses: eyes, nose, ear, skin and mouth.

These areas are so important to a person. Without any one it being normal, like me i have a lazy eye, slightly discolored edges at the corner of my mouth (make up helps!) and other skin problems, a child will grow up to be self-conscious and timid. What we all need to be is to be confident! but how is that possible with all these problems?!

anyhooo, I've stopped using "divine derrier" for a while. I think it is common with all bleaching & peeling creams. The more u use it, the less effective it gets. Ur skin becomes immune to the doses and it stops working.

For now, im going to stop everything and focus on NOT SWEATING, and i realized something. My biological, sperm donor, "father" has a history of fungal infections.

I definitely inherited it. Growing up i used to have this discoloration right under my bottom lip, even on the sides of my nose. Plus recently i've been getting these round scaly dry patches on my skin (i have 3 so far) and it looks like ringworm!!!!! how the hell did i end up with it, i have no idea! *sigh*

So what im trying to say is...my underarm discoloration could be due to fungal as well. That is why not a single whitening/bleaching/peeling product is working on me!

I'm going to get some kinda antifungal cream/powder and start using it on my underarms to see if it helps. Will give u another post in 2 weeks or so.

I seriously do hope it works! i want to wear sleeveless clothes sooo badly! :( i envy those chics at the clubs! hmmph!
