So after many years. i shall conclude my entire lightening experience. this is what i have come up with:
If u suffer from dark underarms:
Step 1: Visit a dermatologist. The doctor may/may not provide you with a solution, but can at least tell you the cause of it.
Step 2: Do not shave! Waxing is the best, as it removes hair from the roots and it pulls away dead skin cells. (Permanent hair removal is also a great option)
Step 3: If sweating is the cause of your dark underarms (like my case) then try to find an anti-perspirant like Perspirex or Maxim (which really help with excessive sweating)
Step 4: Scrubbing underarms, wearing sleeveless clothes at home or as much as possible (so that underarms can breathe and wont always be moist), using an anti fungal powder (during the day), applying a peel (like the one from Juice Beauty) once a month and rubbing coconut oil after every peeling session (at night) helps immensely.
Right now my underarms are 50% better just by following these steps. I shall post pics soon as i would like to continue this routine till i have clear results :)

dark clouds may pass, but this dark prob just wont!
So i've stopped using the Dermatologist's prescribed cream. she did say it will whiten my armpits "a little". and it did. so guess it wont do more than this:

So as u can see...not much has changed. so today i thought id buy Juice Beauty's peel with extra strength but only to find out that the outlet has moved to another mall (bummer!!!) anyhoo i decided to buy a handbag, a nail filer (to help with the disappointment) and also The Body Shop's Vitamin C powder, which i was told to use for 10 days only. I think ppl usually use this for the face but i have bigger issues on my pits. So im gonna use it every night for 10 days. Vitamin C is said to help with lightening. SO i guess another update in 10 days? wish me luck!
Also, i've been using this anti fungal powder as a substitute for a deodorant and i must tell u that it really helps eliminate odor! im so impressed and it costs so little too...

2 weeks for a miracle!
i think im noticing a difference with just a few days of applying the cream the doctor gave...i dunno whats in that cream but it seems to have lighten my underarms a bit...there's like 80% more clearing to go...but i wonder how long this "lightening" process will take...is this it? or can the cream actually lighten my underarms entirely?
Shall update u guys in approx less than 2 weeks !
praying for a miracle!!

Life's a b!tch
So i went to the dr yesterday. the Dr i intended to see wasnt around, so i had to settle for the locum. (how disappointing). anyhoo....told her my story, she did a scrape test on my armpits to see if its fungal and found out that she didnt see any fungal under her microscope. So she told me she cant advise me on any other procedures like chemical peels etc cos the actual dermatologist wasnt around (even more disappointing) so she prescribed me some cream to apply on my underarms nightly. so i did yesterday night and i this morning i woke up scaly dry skin. the dr did tell me that it will help lighten my skin a little bit. sigh.
so for now, im gonna use the cream nightly and perspirex (one a week, at night - to stop the sweating) and during the day i'll just use an anti fungal talcum powder. what else can i do?
i have to have this pigmentation cured by the end of this month. seriously. i am going to a freakin beach!!
:/ life sux doesnt it?

the Longing
As i've said earlier...the healing process is taking so long...i still regret putting that deodorant on my pits :S cos its still burnt/dark. im thinking of going for IPL...see if that helps...im so annoyed :( im actually taking Echinacea to build up my immune system to fight the fungal in my body. Lets hope it goes away in the next couple of months....

slow but for sure?
hey guys,
its really depressing to know that i screwed up my pits! sh!t!
i'm only using the anti fungal cream & anti fungal powder (so that i dont sweat) during the day. At night, i just use the cream and i make sure i cleanse my underarms using "head & shoulders" anti dandruff shampoo (u can use "selsun blue" too if u'd like).
everytime after i shower, i rub my underarms with my towel n i can see that my skin still "sheds" or whatever is on it, i know this because i see dirt stains on my towel. it sounds gross but hey it means progress ! like i said before, its gonna take a while to see a drastic difference.
lesson learnt: do not use too many products at one time....we all want quick results! but its take time for everything.
