Ain't no pumpkin pie!

as i was cleaning the bathroom the other day, i happened to stumble upon something i got a longgg time ago. It was my "Pumpkin peel"! so i decided to use it on my elbows, knees and the underarms (of course!) and i must say it does help a bit.

I had used NCN's "Pro Pumpkin Peel". Which is actually "mild" in the world of peeling. but i think its enough for me. before this i had applied the peel (which smells delicious btw) for 10 - 15 mins. but i just found out that im supposed to leave it on for approx 20 - 45 mins! :S and use it every 4 - 5 days!! so im going to do that! im going to peel every saturday! and this time leave it on for at least 20 minutes. cos i heard that if u keep using it frequently like after 5x u'll have to increase dosage and it wouldnt be as affective. so i guess i have to use it wisely! here's a pic of my pumpkin peel!

I've also read that you can make your own pumpkin peel. Yup! all homemade. i just wonder where can we get some of these ingredients (?) :

The "Pumpkin Peel" recipe by mimi

1/2 Fresh Pumpkin puree
1 aspirin crushed
10 drops lactic acid 85%
10 drops glycolic 85%
5 drops vitamin E
1/2 tsp of cinnamon powder
a pinch of pimenta powder(allspice)

so im definitely staying positive. will post pics in 5 weeks ( i promise!)

Same old story

i guess this tomato thing aint working. i mean after a week, i see no diff..and im not going to bother doing it for another week, this is exactly what happened with the lime/lemon story. it just doesnt work :/ also, during the day i stink because im not using any deodorant. so im thinking of switching to this routine:

during the day: sweet almond oil + lemon (lemon helps with the odor)
night: alternate between Maxim deodorant / Finale whitening cream

I must say after more than a month of using Finale whitening cream, i still dont see any difference. but im still gonna use it cos i have nothing else to use at night :S

it sux that nothing is working. December come soon! i wanna try the "divine derrier" thing!!!!

Toe-may-toe / Toe-mah-toe

So today as i was running about town, i happened to drop by an indian store and noticed a "tomato" soap bar for whitening. i was tempted to get it...as i usually am when i see anything to do with "skin whitening" but i decided not to and to do some research first.

so i found out that i dont have to buy a bar of tomato soap for that. i could just use a slice of tomato instead. anyways this is what i found out:
Tomatoes contain Vitamin A, C, and Potassium. Tomatoes demonstrate high level content of lycopene that makes dull skin clear and blemish free, protects the skin from free radicals, and boosts the skin’s natural SPF (Sun Protection Factor). Tomatoes also contain an acid content. The vegetable’s pulp and juice contain acid that proves its capacity to act as skin lighteners making it as a very effective natural skin lightening agent for underarm whitening of dark underarms.

How to make an underarm whitening tomato paste

  • Chop the tomato into two equal halves. Rub the cut tomatoes on dark underarms using circular motion. Do this for about 15 minutes. Rinse with warm water. Repeat the treatment everyday.

it seems that regular application for over a period of 1 to 2 weeks will produce visible skin lightening effects. so now im really curious.. should i try it? just for a week/two?? OK. no harm right? i shall start tomato rubbing today! :D

wish i could fast fwd to next week to see the results!

Wonder Oil!

somewhere in the middle of the year, i had taken a euro trip with a bunch of friends, and on our last leg of the trip, i had spent a whole day under the roman sun. i remember it being a hot day and i just had to sunbathe on a lovely beach. after a day of sunbathing, i realized that i had become not tanned but "burnt" from head to toe. (i still have the ''burn" lines till today). anyhoo, i also suffered from 'burnt' & dry lips. which cause major discoloration on half of my lips (u must think i looked like a joker) as usual, when a physical problem occurs, i google it. and voila! i read about how almond oil can actually help in lightening lips. so i ended buying a bottle of "Sweet almond oil" from Parkson which costed me about RM52 (thats quite pricey!) and i've been using it for months, and i can tell u that it has helped me with lightening my lip color. i've also been using it as a moisturiser for day & night and i can feel that it has helped my skin look & feel a lot better! (yay! for sweet almond oil) my mother (who's clinique day & night cream has finished, decided to try the oil and she says that it has helped her get rid of the sagging skin on her neck, remm to massage ur neck with the oil if u wanna try it)

i think i might've discovered a wonder oil! :D

anyways, im thinking of rubbing "sweet almond oil" on my underarms as an additional routine. so it'll be "Finale whitening cream + talcum powder" during the day, and i'll alternate between "sweet almond oil" and the "roll on" at night. it sounds like a plan, well at least til december (when i get my "divine derrier" bleaching lotion).

oh the shame!

ok..so i decided to take pics of the shameful pits...here it is:

right underarm................left underam.................

some how the right underarm is darker than the other..which is prolly because i sweat more on the right underarm. anybody wanna compare notes on what's working and what isn't? will post more pics after 2 months for you to see the difference (if any) cos im only using Finale Whitening Cream and roll on to stop sweating.

how is your armpit doing?

ok ladies...its been a longgggg time since my last post. a lot has happened to the dark pit. yes. it is still dark.

Look, if there's anything ive learned in this life. it is that a dark pitted woman should:
  • wax/epilate
  • if you're having hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating) use Maxim deodorant (which works btw!)
I have spent too much money n time researching what works and what doesnt. so far nothing has worked. i know all i need is that final product/addition to my daily whitening regimen. i want to try "Divine Derrier" , although its meant for anal bleaching i heard u can use it on any dark spots. i am not for bleaching. ive done it in the past (it did help a bit) and it may be dangerous (causes cancer) but i want to try bleaching for the last time. i can only let u know the results in December when i have my sis bring it for me from the u.s.

till then, im currently using Finale Whitening cream during the day (& sometimes at night..i alternate between the Maxim deodorant & Finale cream) To make sure that my clothes dont rub away the cream, i apply talcum powder after the applying the cream. so this locks it in. i have seen a slight improvement its been a month. it seems i can tell the difference after 3-4months. so we shall see how it goes. i dont believe in lemon/lime/turmeric/baking soda. it doesnt work at all. i would love to have laser hair removal which i know will help with my ingrown hair but what can i do with empty pockets?

so will try to post pics for you to see sometime soon..

Some kinda solution?

So about a month back i went to see Dr Christina Chea in Taipan, USJ (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QKsSuJABWKE) and i told her my problem. She offered me a range of solutions: from creams, to laser treatments etc. Obviously my mother (and myself) were a little skeptical of the idea of laser treatment (though i must admit it now sounds tempting). Anyways, i chose the cream solutions and together with consultation and products, the total cost came upto RM 430!! SO EXPENSIVE!!! but lemme tell u...out of all the products ive tried in the past. whatever she prescribed worked the best. in the first week itself a layer of my skin peeled off. Though it my armpits are still dark, it has become a little lighter. (will post pics soon!)

I'm still thinking about skin peeling, in heavier dosages. the products in using now are really minor and i doubt ill see any drastic changes...anyway, my mother did warn me about many doctors not having their PhD in dermatology etc. and just so you know i think dr christina chea has a diploma/certificate in dermatology. i think that's wat made my mother skeptical. they may provide with quick fixes...but are they really safe??? i also dunno what is right or wrong :/
